TransAID/MAVEN joint workshop with US CAMP

On Thursday 25 July, a delegation of both TransAID and MAVEN projects went to the US, Detroit (Michigan) to meet with the ‘Crash Avoidance Metrics Partners’ (CAMP) group consisting of OEMs. During the meeting, we presented detailed information on our both projects, and had fruitful discussions and an exchange of ideas regarding the deployment of (C)AVs, advanced traffic management, and the next-generation of communication standards and interfaces.

TransAID joins the Workshop on Connected, Cooperative & Automated Driving

The 3rd Workshop on “Connected, Cooperative, and Autonomous Driving” will be held on Sunday 9 June 2019, in conjunction with the IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium (IV 2019). The workshop also features an Industry Panel with experts from related industries, which will again foster the interactive exchange of academia and industry.

Workshop venue: MINES ParisTech – 60 Boulevard Saint-Michel, 75006 Paris, France.

Simulation videos available

We have created several videos that show some of the nuts and bolts that go inside TransAID’s simulations. See how CAVs and LVs differ in their lane changing, what Transitions of Control (ToC) and Minimum-Risk Maneuvers (MRM) imply, how merging on a motorway can be facilitated, dealing with road works, and how to schedule ToCs before a no-automated driving zone.

You can watch them at our Videos page!

Consortium Meeting (Leuven, Belgium)

On Tuesday 5 – Wednesday 6 February, we held a Consortium Meeting at TML in Leuven, Belgium. We discussed about traffic management schemes, simulating enhanced traffic management measures with V2X communications using the iTETRIS+SUMO+ns-3 integrated simulation platform, setting up the real-world vehicle trials, and much more!
